My Ravinia Pic this week is in plain sight, though seldom seen close up, it is the scroll and peg box of the cello. Here it is held by a performing musician from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. I find its elements are functional and elegant at the same time. The wild and expressive strings are also whimsically inviting to me.
