Two Nights of Ekaterina Semenchuk

Mezzo-soprano Ekaterina Semenchuk sings songs by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff on July 27 in Ravinia’s intimate Martin Theatre. Opera News wrote that Semenchuk has a rich voice and a big, confident musical personality. Tickets are just $10 on the lawn and start at $30 for reserved seating.

If you miss her in July, see Semenchuk perform in the pavilion on August 4 when she is joined by the CSO, soprano Keri Alkema, tenor Rodrick Dixon and baritone Brian Mulligan for Mahler’s Das klagende Lied. This concert also features Itzhak Perlman performing Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major. If you have tickets for the concert, be sure to see James Conlon in a pre-concert discussion at 6:30 in the Martin Theatre.
