Ravinia’s Communications Director Tapped to be Juror at Film Festival

The Chicago Children’s Film Festival, which is officially sanctioned by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to send films on to possible Oscar nominations, has tapped Ravinia’s longtime director of communications Nick Pullia to be a juror in the “animated feature” category. A former entertainment journalist and film critic for a chain of 50 newspapers, Pullia is a multiple award-winning writer. He is also a screenwriter and protégé of UCLA's famous film guru Richard Walter. He's sold feature-length screenplays to such companies as Andrew Lauren Productions. “If you’ve read his work or merely talked to him for five minutes, you know that Nick is a uniquely creative and funny man,” said Ravinia President and CEO Welz Kauffman, “but what I appreciate about his talent is his inspirational ability to identify and grow the creative impulse in others. That makes him perfect for this post.”
