The Ravinia Festival Women's Board was founded in 1962, and for the past 40 years, one of their major tasks has been to select the Ravinia Festival poster from student submissions each year. In 2012, they are celebrating their 50th anniversary, and they decided to give you a present this year, and let you decide the winner of this years contest from three finalists selected by the board and Ravinia CEO Welz Kauffman. Hundreds of you voted for your favorite posters and, ultimately, a winner was crowned. Daniel Goers* of Harper College was voted the victor, and his poster will be featured around the park, in Ravinia Multimedia, and around the Chicagoland area. You will be able to purchase a copy of his poster beginning March 1 from Ravinia Gifts online, and in-park during the season. The Women's Board had the pleasure of an official introductionto Daniel this past Tuesday at their Winter Meeting, and an unveiling of the full sized edition of the poster! They are very excited about the poster chosen by you and cannot wait to get it hung up around the park. Ravinia thanks all the artists (and online voters) who participated in this year’s contest.

* Daniel Goers name was inadvertently spelled wrong in today's newsletter as Hoers! Sorry about that Daniel! We promise to get it right from now on!
