DeLaria Announced as Grand Marshal of Pride Chicago

PRIDEChicago, the organizers of Chicago’s annual LGBTQ pride parade, announced Wednesday that Orange Is the New Black star Lea DeLaria will be the grand marshal in the lead car for the 48th Annual Chicago Pride Parade on June 25, followed by the man who booked her performance later that night, Ravinia President and CEO Welz Kauffman. The 58-year-old performer is best-known for her SAG Award–winning role as Carrie “Big Boo” Black in the hit Netflix series; however, her multifaceted career as a comedian, actress, and jazz musician has spanned decades. Grab a spot front and center on the parade route for your chance to grab prizes from the Ravinia Road Crew as we walk alongside DeLaria. Following the parade, head up to Ravinia for an 18+ evening of comedy and music featuring the star.
