The Ravinia Women’s Board congratulates this year's Ravinia Season Poster designer, Lauren Elizabeth Parra. Her poster evokes the experience of walking through the park and being drawn into the Pavilion by music. The design incorporates two elements of particular significance to the Women's Board. The female conductor signifies a tribute to Ravinia's Chief Conductor, Marin Alsop, as well as a celebration of Ravinia's female leaders. Looking up to the glittering sky, the 30 stars represent the 30 founding members who established the Women's Board in 1962. Parra will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and her design will be featured in the promotion of the upcoming 2022 Ravinia season, distributed among hundreds of Chicagoland stores and public spaces, and sold exclusively at The Festival Shop.
Lauren Elizabeth Parra currently works in the Greater Seattle Area as a graphic designer for The Pokémon Company International. In her free time, she loves reading and hanging out with her two kitties, Miso and Milkshake.
