In this video interview from last summer, Ravinia Steans Music Institute alum and violinist Maria Ioudenitch recounts her memorable experience being a fellow in the Program for Piano & Strings for two consecutive summers, 2016 and 2017. Ioudenitch also shares her experience as a musician during the pandemic and talks about Melodies for Change, a fundraiser she led for an educational organization in Boston, which raised $3,601 with the help of other RSMI alums and friends.
The violinist has kept herself busy since we last spoke with her. Ioudenitch was recently awarded the first prize in the senior age category and the Ysaÿe Grand Prize at the 2021 Ysaÿe International Violin Competition in Liège, Belgium!
