Wheelchair Service Will Help Those in Need Cross Underpass

Ravinia Festival will test a free wheelchair service that will help those with disabilities navigate the park's new grand entrance and pedestrian underpass on concert nights. The acclaimed new entrance allows people to enter Ravinia's grounds without having to cross the at-grade railroad tracks or be delayed in the parking lot waiting for trains to pass. The underpass already features ADA compliant ramps. In response to some users who said they had difficulty walking on the ramps, Ravinia will provide the free wheelchair service, operated by trained health professionals, starting with the first concert this summer. Please reserve the wheelchairs for those who truly need them and note that there could be wait times as customers are assisted to the other side of the tracks.
